2010 TOUR: 144 DAYS IN AFRICA

2010- ALL IN ONE LONG HAUL OR PER PHASE AS U WANT TO DO IT

The total tour have been designed into 4 phases for the period 10 June – 30 Oct 2010

The tour starts in Cape Town and runs to Israel, around the Masada and back to Cape Town

Phase 1: Visit the Serengeti on extended tour for 45 days to include Kenya and Uganda

Phase 2: North Africa – Visit Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt and stop in Cairo with the option to split from our tour and go to London on your own

Phase 3: Middle East – Visit Israel, Jordan, Saudi with the option to split from our tour in Israel and go to Europe and Russia around Syria

Phase 4: East Africa – Visit Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Malawi  and Mozambique  with the option to return home from Dar es Salaam  

PHASE 1: SERENGETI 46 DAYS: EXSTENDED TOUR TO INCLUDE UGANDA AND KENYA: - 13 JUNE to 29 JULY 2010

Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and return via Malawi and Mozambique  

Highlights: Vic Falls, Kilimanjaro, Ngorongoro Crater and 6 days in the Serengeti, Lake Victoria, Uganda, Masai Mara in Kenya, Nairobi, Kilimanjaro from the north, Lake Malawi and Northern Mozambique

Only 4x4/2, Fully Catered & Camping: Adults / 16 years and older R38, 000 per person

No kids are allowed on this tour and only persons 16 years and older.

PHASE 2: NORTH AFRICA 53 DAYS: NEW TOUR: 16 JULY to 6 SEP 2010

Now the real African tour starts to Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt after the Serengeti guests have left south and back to South Africa. Phase 2 starts in Nairobi where we will spend 2-3 days to have our vehicles serviced and do some detail buying for the trip. This is also the phase where “Pay as you go” starts for all the guests.   

Highlights: Ethiopia, Sudan & Egypt – There are just too many to list them all but we plan to see the same as “Voetspore” and much more.

Only 4x4’s are allowed on this trip irrespective diesel or petrol but with a long range tank.

We will travel with military emergency rations but first we will buy and eat the local content. Not Catered & Camping is the plan. We are all now on our own Budget and Pay as we go plan. Visas, Ferry, Taxes and running costs are planned to be $1 per kilometre based on experience . The distance for Phase 2 is 8350km or $5000 per vehicle from Nairobi to Cairo.

 PHASE 3: MIDDLE EAST 16 DAYS: NEW TOUR: 7 SEP to 29 SEP 2010

Our tour is reaching now the central highlight as we enter Israel – Soli Deo Gloria

Now Israel, (7 days) Jordan, (7 days) Saudi Arabia to Yeddah

Highlights: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Masada, Golgotha, and many more in Jordan like Petra and then the desert of Saudi Arabia. Visas, Ferry, Taxes and running costs are planned to be $1 per kilometre based on experience. The distance for Phase 3 is 4700km or $4000 per vehicle from Israel to Africa at Jeddah or more South.

PHASE 4: EAST AFRICA 32 DAYS: NEW TOUR: 30 SEP to 31 Oct 2010

Back in Africa and our route starts in Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar

Highlights: The congregations of Ethiopia, Mombassa, Tanga, Dar es Salaam & Zanzibar for 3 days. We swim in the warm Indian Ocean waters before we start our safari southwards to South Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique.  Visas, Ferry, Taxes and running costs are planned to be $.5 per kilometre based on experience. The distance for Phase 4 is 6770km or $3000 per vehicle from Port Sudan/Dijbouti to Xai Xai in Mozambique

COSTING SUMMARY: WHEN DOING THE COMPLETE TOUR

PHASE 1: R38,000 per person and own running costs, Full Board

PHASE 2: Pay as you go and guide fees = $1000 per vehicle

PHASE 3: Pay as you go and guide fees = $1000 per vehicle

PHASE 4: Pay as you go and guide fees = $1000 per vehicle

NOTE: If a vehicle want to join us in Nairobi and want to complete only certain phases with us the following costs are applicable for guide fees, safety and security, planning and navigation

Phase 2 – Kenya to Cairo $3800 per vehicle (Leaving for London)

Phase 3 – Israel to Sudan $1200 per vehicle

Phase 4 – Sudan to Malawi $1200 per vehicle
