INFORMATION ABOUT OUR OWN TRAINING FOR STUDENTS AND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET THE KNOWLEGDE

 

This course start on 15 Mar till 19 Mar 2010 and the duration is 1 week. The cost is R1750 per person and includes the following – Lunch / Tea & Coffee / Course material / Transport while on course. The lectures are presented in Hatfield, Pretoria and practical on different venues. You have to organize your own stationery, accommodation (Hotel 224) and supper for 3 nights. The course start daily at 07h30 for 08h00 and end at 17h00 except 2 days, when we will work after hours till 21h00 for night training.

Registration is essential and must be done before 15 Feb 2010 by sending Alex an email and request the registration form. Payments are due in 2 parts R875 with the registration and R875 on 5 Mar 2010. - 2 More courses will be presented later in 2010 

 

The basic curriculum will cover the following subjects in theory / work sessions and then practical touring with Alex for you to gain experience followed by 4 work  Assignments.

6. Medical support - First aid – Level 1 AND 2 / Packing / Transport / Prescribtions

7. Towing – Trailers / Caravans/ Off-road towing / Roof tops

8. 4X4 driving – Course training for a 4WB

9. Recovery – Equipment / Use / Practically deployment / Towing a recovered vehicle /

10. Animals – Mammals in Southern Africa / Recognition /

11. Birds – Birds in Southern Africa / Birding / Equipment / iPAQ /

30. Practical – Assignments on (1) Your region (2) Namibia (3) Botswana (4) Mozambique - This is highly recommended but not compulsory. You can only do proper planning and put together an honest itinerary once you have visited the destinations. Only then you can answer your guests!

31. Practical Training – Going on Tour with Alex and Alta – This is highly recommended but not compulsory. You cannot talk with confidence if you did not visit the destinations beforehand.

32. Practical Exhibiting at Beeld Show 2010. This is compulsory and in Feb 2010 and you have to work at the show for 3 days to understand how to handle guests before you take them on tour.

33. Additional Courses – Accredited and supplementary to the about course and recommend for own development

 If you got a THETA qualification (Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Education & Training Authority) and a First Aid – Level 1 qualification then you can start with us ASAP. Drivers license is recommended.
